"I had the opportunity to first work with Lou Getz and Legal Media starting in 1998. He videotaped over 50 depositions we conducted around the country in the Fen-Phen litigation. The professionalism and quality of work was outstanding. The work product was of the highest quality and he was always available for assistance before and during trial. I would not want to take another deposition without having Lou and Legal Media involved."

The average juror is exposed to more than 40 hours of television programming a week from more than 100 different cable stations.  High-definition television, satellite TV and web-based programs have become mainstream. Accustomed to the finest in video and audio playback, jurors viewing something less than perfect may become distracted, and even develop a negative impression of your client's case. Legal Media uses the latest technology to provide our clients with the best possible image and sound quality.

As a company we have successfully videotaped well over 100,000 hours of testimony and have edited well over 50,000 hours of testimony.  We have worked in almost every major city in the United States and on five continents. Legal Media, Inc. has been in the field of legal videography since 1983.  We have performed successfully in many multi-party, high profile cases.  Our award winning staff is on-call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

DEPOSITIONS

LEGAL MEDIA, INC. HAS BEEN SETTING THE STANDARD IN VIDEO DEPOSITIONS AND HAS STAYED ON TOP OF TECHNOLOGY SINCE 1983.

Getting the right company to videotape your depositions is one of the most important decisions you will make in your case. The effects of a poorly produced video deposition are often overlooked until it is too late, such as when important testimony cannot be understood or when significant gestures or expressions that would convey credibility are not effectively communicated.

Legal Media, Inc. locally pioneered the legal video industry. We were one of the first companies to offer “on-location” digitizing and web-based streaming of depositions. Our staff is able to offer the highest quality with the quickest turn-around time in the Houston area. All of our production is performed in our facility.

Legal Media, Inc. videotaped some of the first depositions over 25 years ago. We were one of the first companies to use 3-chip, high resolution broadcast cameras to record sharper, clearer depositions. We were the one of the first companies to use DV-Cam recording equipment, allowing for better edit masters and duplicates. We were the first local company to offer digital depositions on CD-ROM and DVD. We were the first local company to use a completely “in-house” authored DVD in the courtroom. We are one of the first companies to produce our clients video depositions in the highest quality possible MPG format compatible with presentation softwares.  We constantly strive to utilize the latest in available courtroom technology.

"I was highly skeptical about using the DVT technology in the courtroom, but Legal Media made a believer out of me. It is incredibly user friendly, and is a devastating tool for impeachment of witnesses. The jurors really sat up and paid attention whenever I went to the video. It takes no time at all - you can impeach a witness faster than you can by opening up a deposition. You owe it to yourself -- and to your clients -- to take Legal Media and this technology with you to trial."

SETTLEMENT, MEDIATION, INSPECTIONS, DAY-IN-THE-LIFE:

STRONG, POWERFUL AND PERSUASIVE

Any legal matter needs to be simplified before an effective settlement or mediation conference. To be successful, the most persuasive evidence, the most important facts and crucial witnesses must be summarized and presented to the opposing counsel in a compelling manner. In a personal injury case, words can never adequately describe how the quality of life of an accident victim is forever changed, or communicate the pain and frustration of physical therapy.

Our advanced digital editing suite can incorporate all types of effects for the most powerful presentation, and allows clients the flexibility to make last minute changes. Our award-winning documentaries are tools of the highest impact for settling your case, and show that you are prepared for trial.

Settlement and Mediation videos produced by Legal Media, Inc. give you a favorable position by presenting the issues to opposing counsel or the mediator in a dramatic summary. These videos often feature interviews with treating doctors, family, friends, location footage, expert testimony, deposition experts, photos, X-rays, news footage or any persuasive evidence material to your case. Incorporating professional narration and computer-generated text and graphics, these presentations have proven very effective in securing favorable settlement and mediation results for both plaintiffs and defendants.

LOCATION

DON’T LEAVE IT TO THE JUROR’S IMAGINATION, TAKE THEM THERE

Location videotapes and photographs are a way to take the jury out of the courtroom and into the actual environment of your case. From simply showing an intersection that was the scene of an auto accident to demonstrating a complicated refinery process, it is clearly more effective to allow the jury see it for themselves.

Legal Media, Inc. has portable location equipment including digital video and still cameras. Not only are our technicians trained in creating clear, accurate renditions of any scene, we can also help you communicate exactly what you wish to show. Location videos can be integrated into user-friendly, interactive productions involving computer graphics and special effects.

EDITING

OUR EDITORS ARE SOME OF THE MOST EXPERIENCED AND SKILLED IN THE INDUSTRY AND CONTINUOUSLY PRODUCE THE HIGHEST QUALITY PRODUCT AVAILABLE FOR YOUR PRESENTATION

Preparing videotaped evidence for trial is usually left to the last minute. Often rulings on objections come from the court at the 11th hour. Whether you have a few doctor depositions to edit or massive designation exchange deadlines, we are the most qualified litigation support company to help you.

We have five non-linear edit suites that can be put to use around the clock on any project. Additionally, if Legal Media taped the deposition, the file tapes are stored in our digital video library. We create a high resolution edit master that produces the highest quality end product. Our editing techniques allow us to easily make subsequent edits if last minute changes are necessary.
