Legal Media was retained for the complete on-site presentation support of a multi-million dollar investment fraud dispute in State Court in Orlando, Fla. All documents as well as animated demonstratives were presented via 67", 37" and multiple smaller monitors in the courtroom. The on-site team scanned newly admitted exhibits and created numerous demonstratives each night as trial strategy changed. Our client prevailed with a $52 million dollar verdict - the largest civil jury verdict in the State of Florida at the time.
Alcatel v. Samsung
Legal Media provided complete support in the defense of a $400 million misappropriation of trade secret dispute. Legal Media was an integral part of the consultant team that redesigned the Dallas state courtroom to allow for a completely digital and seamless presentation of evidence. Legal Media's on-site team included two full-scale graphic design suites, full-scale non-linear and digital editing suites, the production of over 400 demonstratives and the editing of over 1200 hours of testimony. BJ Services v. Halliburton Co

Breezevale v. Exxon
Legal Media provided on-site trial support for this breach of contract dispute in State Court in Dallas, Texas. Bristol Myers Squibb v. A.I.U
Legal Media was a large part of the joint defense team in the $400 Million Bristol Myers Squibb V. A.I.U., et al. coverage case in State Court in Beaumont, TX. Our on-site trial support team consisted of two video editors and an on-site suite running around the clock, as well as a full-scale graphics suite with designer. 67", 37" as well as nine 15" monitors were used with a fully integrated Plaintiff/Defendant presentation system. Due to the large number of attorneys necessary in court and the small size of the courtroom, Legal Media designed and built custom furniture to match the courtroom. City of Austin v. HL&P
Legal Media created all of the demonstrative aids for a two month jury trial in Houston over the South Texas Nuclear Project. The parties settled during jury deliberations with the defendants paying our client a favorable settlement.
Coburn Supply Co. v. Kohler Co.
A jury trial held in Federal Court in Beaumont, TX, this contract dispute involved the termination of a 60 year relationship of Coburn Supply Co., a Kohler Co. distributor. Legal Media, Inc. provided all video production and demonstrative evidence support for the plaintiff Coburn Supply Co. The jury came back with a very favorable verdict in favor of the plaintiff.
EMLICO v. CU
Thought to be the largest environmental claim tendered to the insurance industry, this case involves over $3.2 Billion in claims, 42 years of coverage and potentially hundreds of policies. After over a year of arbitration sessions Commercial Union's request for rescission of the contract was denied in Phase I. Herrara v. Pfizer

Hill-Rom v. KCI
At this two-week bench trial in Charleston, South Carolina, Legal Media provided on-site support for the defense team in a patent infringement case. We had two full-time designers with full-scale graphic design suites. All of the trial exhibits were imaged and video depositions were digitized for a totally paperless presentation. Our client prevailed with a defense verdict worth over $30 Million.
KCI v. Hillenbrand Industries and Hill-Rom
This case involved the litigation of anti-trust violations in the medical industry specifically involving specialty hospital beds. Legal Media, Inc. provided all of the on-site presentation support for this 5 week trial in federal court in San Antonio, TX. The on-site team was compiled of a full-time designer, in-court consultant, and video editor. Support included the creation of hundreds of demonstratives, and the editing of over 800 hours of digitized video. One of the largest-ever antitrust verdicts, our client, Kenetic Concepts Inc. was awarded $173.6 Million which can be tripled under federal antitrust laws to $520 Million.
Kelly A., et al v. NME
In these civil suits, resulting from the largest health care fraud in the history of the United States, Legal Media traveled all over the country shooting important deposition testimony and provided on site support for two month long trials in Dallas and Conroe, TX. El Paso Energy v. Central & South West Corp.
Legal Media was retained for daily on-site video editing support for this multi-million dollar dispute in the United States Bankruptcy Court of the Western District of Texas. After a 9-day trial, the judge found in favor of our client who prevailed as the defendants then paid $35 million as settlement.
Maris v. Anheuser-Busch
When Anheuser-Busch unlawfully terminated the distributorship awarded to baseball hall-of-fame player Roger Maris and brother Rudy, they were sued in Federal and State Court in Florida. Legal Media, Inc. provided all the trial presentation and video production support for both trials that lasted in excess of 3 months each. After over 3 months in trial our client, the Maris family, was awarded a verdict in excess of $80 million.
Miller v. Sonat Exploration
Legal Media was hired on behalf of 7 workers who were killed in the terrible Sonat Exploration gas well explosion. Over 180 hours of depositions were digitized, synchronized, and edited down to less than 16 hours. 2-D graphics and an animation were created and the edited testimony coupled with demonstratives were vital in the final negotiations resulting in the largest settlement in Texas for this type of case.
Moore, Atty. General ex Rel., State of Mississippi Tobacco Litigation
Legal Media was retained for total on-site support of the landmark Mississippi State tobacco litigation. Neely v. Ethicon
This is a case involving potentially thousands of plaintiffs and the alleged contamination of surgical sutures manufactured by Ethicon. Ring Bros. v. KCI
During this three-week jury trial in San Antonio, TX Legal Media provided on-site support for KCI's legal team in this patent infringement case. We had a full-time trial consultant and designer with a full-scale graphic design suite, and all of the trial exhibits were imaged for paperless presentation. Our client prevailed with a favorable verdict and the opposing patent was found invalid.
Sims v. Allstate
Legal Media provided all of the on-site graphics and trial presentation support for this month long case in State Court in St. Louis, MO. Plaintiffs were seeking over $400 Million on behalf of thousands of plaintiffs claiming diminished value on auto policies held by Allstate. A two person team designed graphics and edited key video testimony around the clock to aid the defendants in a very favorable verdict. The jury came back with $0 for the plaintiffs and awarded the defendants attorney's fees.
Tennessee Gas Pipeline v. KCS
Legal Media created all of the demonstrative aids for this breach of contract case in Zapata Texas, which resulted in a $143 Million verdict for our client.
T-Bar X Limited Company v. Anadarko Petroleum
Legal Media, Inc. provided complete on-site support of this 2 month breach of contract case in Robertson County, TX. The team included a full time graphics designer, in-court consultant and digital video editor. Support included the on-site capability of last minute demonstrative creation, document imaging and immediate digital editing of key deposition testimony. Our client, T-Bar X was awarded $40 Million in actual damages and $100 Million in punitive damages.
Occidental v. Hartford, et al
Legal Media was retained for all of the trial support of the $270 Million coverage dispute over the famous superfund dumpsites of Love Canal and Hyde Park. With trial set in Niagara Falls, NY, Legal Media set up a complete on-site support office. Our services included video editing of over 600 hours of testimony, digitizing and linking the transcript for immediate editing and retrieval in the courtroom. It also included the production of over 150 interactive demonstrative exhibits for electronic projection in the courtroom. Due to courtroom limitations, Legal Media, Inc. designed and built custom furniture for the defendant's use in trial. The case settled very favorably for our client.
Samsung v. Texas Instruments
Legal Media was a large part of the defendant's team in the Samsung V. Texas Instruments trial in Fort Bend County. We set up an on-site trial support office, which included a full-scale graphics and video-editing suite. We also had another video editing suite in our office dedicated to the trial with technicians, which would run all day and night as the testimony was needed. A 67" screen and multiple smaller screens were supplied with full computer and video capability in the courtroom. The case settled the evening before closing arguments with the plaintiffs entering into a contract to pay our client, the defendants, over $1 Billion.
Samsung
Legal Media was hired to design and present all of the demonstratives for a $400 million patent infringement suit involving Samsung. Our on-site team prepared demonstratives in three different formats to allow for the most flexibility in a bench trial held in Washington, D.C. Our client prevailed, defeating the plaintiffs with a summary judgment.
Southern Union v. Southwest Gas
A very complicated case in Phoenix, AZ involving the failed merger of two energy companies. With hundreds of video witnesses and millions of pages of documents, Legal Media, Inc. helped our client win a summary judgment worth over $500 million in damages.
US v. Sansing
A criminal case in Federal Court in Houston, TX, Tony Sansing was charged with ten different counts involving environmental pollution. Legal Media, Inc. provided consultation and all graphic design, as well as all in-court presentation for defendant Tony Sansing and attorney Robert J. Sussman. After two weeks of trial Mr. Sansing was found not guilty on all ten counts, receiving a complete acquittal.
